Nanobodies are single-domain antibodies (~15 kDa) derived from camelid heavy-chain antibodies. Compared to conventional antibodies (~150 kDa), they reach hidden epitopes, remain stable across heat/pH swings, and can be expressed at scale in microbial systems. The class is clinically validated and growing.
